On 26th of June, Prof. Linfeng from Wayne State University inUSAwas invited to School  of Automotive and Traffic Engineering and he gave an academic report on The applications of Discrete event/Hybrid system theory on the hierarchy and distributed control system of connected vehicle system. Hundreds of teachers and students from School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, School of Electrical and Information Engineering and School of Computer Science and Communications Engineering attended the report. The report was host by Prof. Wang Guolin, deputy dean of School  of Automotive and Traffic Engineering.

In the report, Prof. Linfeng shared the research field of control theory he was engaged in and how to get in touch with and continue to study in depth with Discrete event/Hybrid system theory. To deal with the challenges of the development of the international automobile industry in recent years and today's  traffic system, Prof.Linfeng put forward that we should model and control the connected vehicle system with Discrete event/Hybrid system theory and achieve the smooth of traffic flow with the information interaction and control. After the report, the students and teachers asked questions actively and professor Linfeng made detailed analysis and answer one by one. The report was clear, novel and also explained the profound in simple terms. The teachers and students presented learned a lot from the report.
