Prof. Wei Shengli gave lectures about Tractor Design and Use for agricultural technology advanced students of China-Africa friendship Chinese Government Scholarships
Recently, Prof. Wei Shengli of the Department of Power of our college give lectures about Tractor Design and Use for agricultural technology advanced students of China-Africa friendship Chinese Government Scholarships using ZOOM platform. More than 60 students from Kenya, Zambia, Ghana and other African countries participated in the whole course online.
Prof. Wei Shengli introduced the basic structure and working principle of agricultural power machinery, and prospected its future development trend vividly and detailedly through PPT, animation and video. Prof. Wei had a full interactive discussion with the students in teaching process. Some students introduced the current stage of agricultural mechanization in their own countries, and others expressed their opinions actively. In brief, we achieved gratifying teaching results.
This training implements the China-Africa friendship Chinese Government Scholarships Training Program and assists the technicians of Africa to grasp the basic research methods, understand the core principles of modern agricultural equipment and facilities, and explore solutions to the local problems of agricultural development by using Chinese technology and Chinese experience. It will also promote the cooperation of agricultural equipment technology between China and Africa and the construction of "The Belt and Road".
Leaders of our college attached great importance to the China-Africa friendship Chinese Government Scholarships training program. They have invited leaders of overseas college to guide the training work, and organized teachers engaged in tractor and agricultural power machinery to conduct field visits to Jiangsu Agricultural Equipment Engineering Center. In this training project, relevant teachers of our college have deeply participated in the training schemes formulation, the syllabus compilation and online course teaching. Mr. Zhang Dengpan of the Department of Power will give lectures with students about engine disassembly and assembly, and the relevant teachers of the Vehicle Engineering Department and the Central Laboratory will be in charge of teaching use and maintenance of tractor and other modules.
