From August 11th to 13th, the 2nd Automotive Industry Talent Training Deans Forum was held in Zhenjiang. The forum was hosted by SAE-China, and organized by the Talent Evaluation Committee of SAE-China, Jiangsu University, and Automotive Technology Education Branch of SAE-China. Xiang Changle, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian University of Technology, Ding Rongjun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering of Hunan University, Wang Zhong, director of the transportation and vehicle engineering discipline project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Fu Yuwu, honorary chairman of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China and honorary chairman of the China Automotive Talent Research Association, attended the meeting.

Fu Yuwu pointed out that the training of outstanding engineers, in addition to the quality improvement of basic theory, innovation and engineering, should also involve the participation of interdisciplinary and integrated thinking, achieve the integration of all elements and the whole ecological chain through collaborative cooperation and collaborative innovation, and empower the sustainable development of outstanding engineers to meet the needs of talents in the new era. Wang Zhong gave the opening report of the conference with the theme of "Demand Traction, Problem Orientation - Serving the Construction of 'Transportation Power'". Xiang Changle delivered a keynote speech on the topic of "Construction and Practice of Innovative Talent Training System for Vehicle Engineering in the New Era". Ding Rongjun delivered a keynote speech entitled "Intelligent Carrier Equipment Technology Integration Innovation and Talent Collaborative Training".
