From November 19 to November 26, Prof. Jiang Haobin, dean of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, led a delegation of 4 people to the headquarters of Austrian AVL Company, AVL German subsidiary, Graz Austrian University of Technology and Darmstadt Technical University of Germany for exchange and visit.

The delegation visited AVL's Austrian headquarters and factories to conduct a comprehensive review of the powertrain and test assembly components and software systems of the new energy vehicle purchased by our school. Each of the components of the purchase list was inspected and the demonstration and control system was demonstrated. Formed a pre-acceptance of the project views, and visited the AVL company's headquarters of the latest power systems, batteries, chassis test equipment, and the delegation was invited to attend the third "DRIVELINE OPEN" Open Day held by the AVL plant in Germany and to exchange views with nearly 100 scientific and technical personnel from all over the world.

The delegation held an exchange of views with Prof. Peter Fischer, director of the Institute of Automotive Engineering, associate professor Mario Hirz and Claudia Jansen, deputy director of the International Exchange Office, at the Technical University of Graz; both introduced their research fields and research directions, Institute of manufacturing, driving simulation, electric drive test laboratory and racing, unmanned logistics vehicles and so on. The delegation further implemented the concrete contents of student training, teacher exchange and scientific research cooperation of auto engineering in the two universities. After that, the delegation went to the world's second largest industrial university in Darmstadt, Germany, and held talks with Dr. Bernd Lenzen, assistant researcher Tim Steinhaus and others of the school's internal combustion engine and vehicle powertrain and visited the internal combustion engine Laboratories, and both sides hope to strengthen cooperation in the areas of exchange of visits by teachers and exchange of students in the future.
