On the afternoon of May 4th, Lv Shiyong, deputy director of the Department of Computer Science at Wayne State University in Michigan, was invited to conduct academic exchanges in our institute and gave an academic report entitled ‘Big Data: Opportunities and Challenges’at the report room 311. The report was hosted by Wang Shaohua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Automotive Institute, attended by more than 100 teachers and students.

Professor Lv introduced the status and principle of large data research and application in various fields by the vivid image of the metaphor, which is closed to the case of life to the faculty and students in school of Automotive and Traffic Engineering.
At the end of the report, Professor Lv presented five suggestions to the teachers and students present and encouraged more people to seek cooperations, use and plan time reasonably,and strive for greater progress in scientific research.
