一、Project brief
The “3+2”joint training program of Jiangsu University – Wayne State University in the United State was signed in May 2016. Wayne State University(WSU) has an international reputation for teaching and research, especially In the field of mechanical engineering and vehicle engineering, which rank among the best in the United States. The project is applied to the junior students of Jiangsu university. Students study at Jiangsu University at the first three years and in the fourth year, students will go to WSU to study. One year later, after transferring credit and having acceptable grade students can receive their bachelor’s degree from Jiangsu University, and receive master’s degree from Wayne State University two years later.
二、Application Condition
1、Junior student in Jiangsu university major at vehicle engineering.
2、The course of the first three year of the corresponding major stipulated by Jiangsu University should be attended and a GPA of more than 2.75 should be acquired.
3、English Level：TOEFL score is greater than 79, or IELTS 6.5.
三、Application Procedures
1、Students apply first and fill in "3 + 2" joint training project application, and submit the certificate of academic records, TOEFL or IELTS score (copy), provide no more than one page of Motivation Letter in both English and Chinese version.
2、Review and interview the school and relevant colleges
3、Interview of Wayne State University (live or video).
4、Signed the letter of commitment of taking part in the "3 + 2" joint training program of Jiangsu University and Wayne State University.
5、After receiving the letter of admission to WSU, students apply for visa and handle procedures.
6、To apply for funds from Jiangsu university to study abroad，students can refer to relevant documents of the school.
四、Relevant charge
1、The individual bears all the expenses of studying life.
2、Tuition: 16 credits per academic year, $46,500 for two years;
3、Living expenses (accommodation, meals, books, health insurance, etc.) : about $15,000 / year, about $30,000 for two years;
4、Wayne State University offers $8,000 scholarship/person, $16,000 for two years;
5、Total cost: about $60,500, equivalent to about 420,000 RMB.
