Prof. Wang Caisheng of Wayne State University was Invited to Negotiate about International Cooperation

 On August 31st, Wang Caisheng, professor of School of Electronics and Computer Science at Wayne State University, was invited to visit our university. Vice-principal Chen Long met with Prof. Wang and signed "3 + 2" joint training students agreement between Wayne State University and Jiangsu University. During the conversation, the two sides negotiated about "3 + 2" joint training project implementation, "Jiangsu University-Wayne State University" international joint laboratory of new energy vehicles and intelligent transportation system, and declared a Sino - foreign cooperative education project. They focused on the discussion about the implementation of "3 + 2" joint training program, Sino-foreign cooperative education project, the further expansion of international joint laboratory construction and the joint declaration of international cooperation project based on the previous progress of the two sides; at the same time, two sides discussed the exchange and multi-level cooperation of teachers and students between the two schools. After the talks, the two sides reached a broad consensus for our school and Wayne State University to conduct a comprehensive deep-level cooperation to lay a solid foundation. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Automotive Institute of the responsible person attended the meeting and negotiations.

Professor Wang had a speech entitled Reliability Evaluation of Large-scale Battery Energy Storage System, which was chaired by Prof. Jiang Haobin, Dean of School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering, for the topic of International Joint Laboratory of New Energy Vehicle Research. Professor Wang analyzed the current development trend of large-scale battery energy storage projects in the United States, and elaborated from the aspects of large-scale battery energy storage system and its integration and power grid application. The reliability evaluation method based on battery model SOH introduced in detail. The method is applied to the estimation of the reliability of Tesla pure electric vehicle battery system model, and has achieved good results. Prof. Wang's comments on the research field of energy storage system in international hotspots and the methods and methods used in the research have given teachers and students a new understanding and insights on the research field.
