After 6 months’ computer room renovation, hardware and software bidding procurement, installation and debugging, the virtual simulation laboratory which cost School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering more than 900 thousands started to use, further enhanced resources sharing security capability of national automotive engineering virtual simulation experimental teaching center.

At present, the virtual simulation laboratory has 3 high performance back-end servers, 30 sets of terminal workstations, system software was based on Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technology, deployed centralized, managed centralized, realized software virtualization, and can use system resources through authorized remote users. In addition to carrying out the virtual simulation experiment teaching of undergraduate course, the laboratory can also provide scientific research computing services for teachers and graduate students. The next stage, school and college will jointly invest construction of 3D virtual immersive interactive platform based on Virtual Reality (VR) technology, provide new technology support for innovative experimental teaching for vehicles, internal combustion engines and traffic professional courses.
