On Jun.3, Researcher Fan Qinyin, a chief scientist of Smart City National Joint Laboratory ,who majors in Hydromechanics, gave an academic presentation in the 311 Lecture Hall of School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering in Jiangsu University entitled “The development of computational fluid mechanics and the approaching mission of universities in China ”. There were a great many of young teachers and graduates of School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, School of Energy and Power Engineering and Research Center of Fluid Mechanical Engineering, who attended the activity.

Principally, Mr Fan was passionate about the history of computational fluid mechanics, the hardware and software of computers, the engineering application of computational fluid mechanics and the realistic opportunities and challenges faced by young teachers and graduates who do research about CFD in some universities in China.

After the lecture, there was a heated discussion between Mr Fan and other participants.
