Expert profile: Yuan Yiqing, chief expert of the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, a distinguished expert of the National Talent Introduction Program, and an expert of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Hundred Talents Program. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree and received his Ph.D. degrees from Virginia Tech and State University in the United States. He had worked at DaimlerChrysler Automobile Company in the United States for 9 years as a chief engineer. After returning to China in 2009, he served as the deputy director and researcher of the Electric Vehicle R&D Center of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He participated in leading the establishment of the Electric Vehicle R&D Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai Zhongke Shenjiang) and served as the deputy general manager. After 2014, he served as the professor and PhD supervisor of the New Energy Vehicle Engineering Center of Tongji University, and the chief expert of the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center from 2019. And he published more than 30 academic papers and applied for more than 30 domestic and foreign patents.
