On August 25-28, 2022, the 19th Annual Conference of the Joint Academic Conference of Internal Combustion Engine Societies in Four Provinces and One City in East China was held in Weihai City, Shandong Province. The joint academic annual meeting is jointly sponsored by Shandong Internal Combustion Engine Society, Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Society, Jiangsu Internal Combustion Engine Society, Anhui Internal Combustion Engine Society, Zhejiang Internal Combustion Engine Society, organized by Shandong Internal Combustion Engine Society, and co-organized by Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai). More than 140 representatives from the internal combustion engine industry, enterprises, universities and research institutes in four provinces and one city in East China attended the meeting. Jiangsu Internal Combustion Engine Society was personally led by Professor Cai Yixi, chairman of the board, and 35 scientific and technological workers from Jiangsu universities and enterprises attended the meeting.

A total of 168 papers were collected at this annual conference, which are divided into twelve topics: internal combustion engine emission control technology, internal combustion engine and component reliability technology, new energy power technology, internal combustion engine alternative fuel technology, internal combustion engine heat management technology, internal combustion engine combustion theory and technology, internal combustion engine electronic control technology, internal combustion engine fuel oil, lubricating oil and additive technology, internal combustion engine testing technology and equipment, new internal combustion engine materials, manufacturing technology and process. The annual meeting selected the excellent papers exchanged in groups. Professor Cai Yixi, Chairman of Jiangsu Internal Combustion Engine Society, and Professor Wu Feng, Chairman of Zhejiang Internal Combustion Engine Society, presented certificates to the first prize winners.
