On the afternoon of November 17th, the 2023 World Engineering Education Conference Youth Student Conference was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Over a hundred young teachers, students, and engineering experts from more than 20 universities around the world attended the conference and conducted in-depth interactive exchanges regarding the topics of "engineering technology and sustainable human development in the eyes of young people" and "how young students view engineering technology and humanistic literacy".
Our college teacher Chen Yu, Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng (an international PhD. student), and Josephine Baffoe (an international master's student) were invited to participate this conference. They expressed their views on these two topics and had in-depth interaction with the other attending experts and teachers. In particular, our international student Josephine Baffoe was invited as a stage guest on the topic of "how young students view engineering technology and humanities" and had an exchange with Academician Kai Sang Lock on the topic.
This meeting was initiated by Kai Sang Lock, the Chairman of the Washington Accord, and fully participated in. It is jointly organized by Zhejiang University of Technology, China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association (CEEAA), and other organizations, aiming to help young students integrate faster into the forefront of global sustainable development goals and become an important driving force for global change.
