On August 18-21, 2023, the 20th Annual Meeting of Internal Combustion Engine Society of Four East China Provinces and One City was successfully held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, which is an important academic event co-sponsored and co-sponsored by the Internal Combustion Engine Society of Jiangsu Province, the Internal Combustion Engine Society of Shanghai Municipality, the Internal Combustion Engine Society of Shandong Province, the Internal Combustion Engine Society of Anhui Province, the Internal Combustion Engine Society of Zhejiang Province. The meeting was held in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, and centered on the hotspots and frontiers of efficient and clean combustion, pollutant emission control and new low-carbon and zero-carbon fuels of internal combustion engine, invited many famous experts and scholars to make a keynote report, which fully demonstrated the latest research and development achievements of the internal combustion engine of the colleges and universities, enterprises and research institutes of the East China region in the relevant fields.

A total of 168 papers were collected for this annual conference, which were divided into ten topics: efficient and clean combustion and emission control technology of internal combustion engine, new low-carbon, zero-carbon and carbon-neutral fuels for internal combustion engine, intelligent control of internal combustion power and new energy-saving and emission-reduction technology, structure of internal combustion engine, friction and lubrication technology, intelligent design and manufacturing technology of internal combustion engine, vibration and noise control technology of internal combustion engine, reliability of internal combustion engine parts and components and remanufacturing technology, new materials and new processes for development of internal combustion engines and components, new technology and new methods for testing of internal combustion engines and components, new low-carbon power devices and special power key technologies.
