In order to enliven the scientific research atmosphere of the college and promote the academic exchanges between teachers and students, the School of Automotive holds a series of activities of "Monday Lecture". This activity was held at 15pm on March 29, 2023, in the conference room 311 of the College of Automotive. Lu Yong, a teacher from the Department of Power Engineering of our college, gave an academic lecture on the theme of "Characteristics and Research Status of Automobile fire". The lecture was hosted by Wang Ruochen, vice president of the College of Automotive.

Through experimental investigation, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the ignition and spread law of automobile fire was studied, and the ignition mechanism, fire spread behavior characteristics and critical conditions for flame extinguishing of automobile fuel under different boundary conditions were revealed, providing theoretical support for automobile material safety, fire prevention and rescue.

The lecture was well received by teachers and students, and the teachers and students who participated in the lecture listened attentively and were not done. After the lecture, we had a heated discussion on how to carry out scientific research and improve innovation ability.
