In order to enliven the scientific research atmosphere of the college and promote the academic exchanges between teachers and students, the School of Automotive holds a series of activities of "Monday Lecture". The activity was held at 15:00 on April 12, 2023, in conference Room 311 of the College of Automotive Engineering. Liang Jia, a teacher from the Department of Traffic Engineering of the College, gave an academic lecture on the theme of "Intelligent Detection Technology of Highway Pavement" to the teachers and students. The lecture was hosted by Wang Ruochen, vice president of the College of Automotive Engineering.

At present, with the introduction of advanced analytical means such as artificial intelligence and big data, road maintenance and management has entered a new stage. Various artificial intelligence methods and means are applied to carry out automatic and efficient analysis of road disease identification, road service performance analysis, road maintenance strategy optimization and other fields. However, how to better maintain the road and the various structures, facilities, ancillary equipment included in the road engineering, repair the damaged part in time, restore and maintain the normal road performance, has become the focus of the current road workers.

The lecture was well received by teachers and students, and the teachers and students who participated in the lecture listened attentively and were not done. After the lecture, we had a heated discussion on how to carry out scientific research and improve innovation ability.
