On April 11th, lecture hall 311 of Qiche building, Dr. Li Qin, Senior advisor to the chairman and technical planning director of Weichai Power Company Limited, was invited to our school to make an academic report entitled “The technology of energy saving and emission reduction in heavy duty diesel engine”. The academic report is chaired by professor Yin bifeng, deputy dean of the school of automotive, and nearly hundred people attended involved the leaders、 teachers、postgraduates and undergraduates from the school of automotive and traffic engineering and relevant schools, professional leaders and teachers.
Dr Li Qin started from the current Chinese diesel engine industry development situation, combined with his many years work and research experience both at home and abroad, elaborated the technical characteristics of domestic and foreign enterprises in the development and production of diesel engines, and the sixth phase of the national emission standards for motor vehicles, which will be implemented on July 1, 2020, is detailed. In addition, Dr Li also introduced and analyzed the development and prospects of current popular electric cars, hybrid cars, and other new energy vehicles and also the future development trend and technical route of diesel engine industry are analyzed from the angle of enterprise and market. At the end of the report, Dr Li and the teachers and students of the seminar conducted in-depth exchange of questions, discussion and analysis.
