On the afternoon of April 10, 2024, at 3:00 pm in Conference Room 311, Professor Xu Miao from the Department of Transportation of our college held an academic lecture on "New Urban Traffic Prediction Methods and Applications under the Background of Big Data".

The purpose of this lecture is to explore methods for alleviating traffic congestion in urban road networks based on intelligent transportation systems, in order to improve road traffic efficiency, enhance traffic safety, and promote green and low-carbon development. This report starts from the actual transportation demand, based on multi-source spatiotemporal data of urban transportation, and uses key technologies such as big data processing, spatiotemporal feature analysis, and deep learning algorithms to solve the dynamic spatiotemporal prediction problem of urban road network traffic.

The lecture received unanimous praise from both teachers and students, and the attendees were fully focused and satisfied. After the lecture, everyone had a lively discussion on the development trend of future new urban transportation.
