From April 19th to 23rd, 2024, the 2024 World Internal Combustion Engine Congress was held ceremoniously in Tianjin. More than 20 representatives of teachers and students from our school traveled to Tianjin to participate in this prestigious event. With the theme of "Green, Reliable, Intelligent, and Efficient," the congress was jointly organized by the China Society of Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE) and Tianjin University, attracting nearly 40 academicians from China and abroad, as well as scientists, entrepreneurs, and scientific and technological workers from more than 20 countries to discuss the future development of internal combustion engines in the context of the "dual carbon" (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) goals.
During the conference, Professor Wang Pan from our school served as the chairman of a sub-session and presided over the academic presentations at the sub-session themed "Carbon Neutrality and Emission Control for Internal Combustion Engines." Professor Hua Lun, an industrial professor at our school, delivered a technical keynote report and was interviewed by China Automobile News on topics such as the development trends of internal combustion engines, the improvement of lubricant reliability, and standard development. Several graduate students from the school presented their latest research findings through oral presentations and posters, engaging in academic exchanges with other delegates, fostering friendships, and broadening their perspectives.
