On May 11, the creative kite-making competition themed “Winds of May Fourth Rise, and Kites Carry Dreams Aloft” was held in Lecture Hall 311 of the School of Automotive Engineering. Students gathered to celebrate the event—taking creativity as their wings and kites as the medium—immersing themselves in a vibrant festival that blended youthful energy with cultural inheritance.
After the production phase, the on-site exhibition and evaluation session became a stage for participants to showcase their work. Contestants took turns presenting with confidence, introducing the concepts behind their kite designs. The participants also included international students, who not only displayed the kites’ refined appearance but also elaborated on the ingenuity and creative ideas embedded in their designs, earning sustained applause from the audience.
More than a contest of creativity, the competition embodied the spirit of forging ahead and striving for excellence on the track of youth. The event highlighted students’ inventive capabilities while fostering a positive, dynamic campus cultural atmosphere within the School of Automotive Engineering.
