To further advance the development of the Vehicle CAD Design course, strengthen faculty exchange, and enhance teaching quality, the Department of Vehicle Engineering convened a seminar themed “Course Teaching Review and Improvement” on June 25. The meeting invited Geng Guoqing, Vice Dean of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering; Xu Xing, Vice Dean of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute; and Professor Huang Juan, recipient of the National “Women’s Pacesetter” honor and the Jiangsu “March 8 Red Banner Holder” award, as well as the course leader of the national first-class undergraduate course Mechanical Drawing. Also in attendance were undergraduate teaching supervisors Professor Ling Zhiyong, Professor Si Naichao, and Professor Wang Ruoping. The seminar was chaired by Professor Xue Hongtao, Head of the Department of Vehicle Engineering, with participation from all course team members, representatives of early-career faculty, and coordinators of core courses.
In his opening remarks, Vice Dean Geng Guoqing underscored the pivotal role of course development in enhancing students’ comprehensive competencies and innovative capacity. He encouraged participating faculty to engage in active dialogue, share teaching experiences, and jointly promote continuous improvement of the Vehicle CAD Design course.
