On October 21, the 4th meeting of the China–Japan International Joint Laboratory for Transport Equipment and Intelligent O&M was held at the College of Automotive Engineering.

Participants reviewed progress and discussed talent training, research collaboration, and joint project applications. Prof. Chen presented on using genetic algorithms and genetic programming for intelligent fault diagnosis, including weak-signal detection, feature extraction, and fuzzy-rule optimization for inspection robots.
