In order to truly understand the anti-epidemic situation of students, collect students’ thoughts on the university’s regulations on the National Day holiday, exchange ideas on academic learning during the anti-epidemic period and after the beginning of school, and help students better adjusted to the new semester, on September 18th, a “Fighting the epidemic, Youth in action” symposium was held by the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering. Prof. Yang Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the school, participated in the symposium along with some student volunteers and class monitors of the Class of 2018.

First of all, the student anti-epidemic volunteers made a brief introduction of their volunteering experience at home. Secretary Yang praised their willingness to take responsibility and proactive dedication, and encouraged everyone to have their family, our motherland, and the people forever at heart. Next, Secretary Yang explained the school’s regulations for the National Day holiday during the epidemic prevention and control stage. He warned students to strictly abide by the school’s management rules and regulations. When going out of campus, students need to make formal applications for leave, and wear adequate safety protections. Secretary Yang also encouraged the students to actively seek help from the counselor and the school in the face of any difficulties or concerns. Finally, Secretary Yang suggested that students should emphasize academic planning, hoping that everyone can arrange their time reasonably, keep positive and enterprising, and spare no effort on their studies in the new semester.

The epidemic is the order, and prevention and control are the responsibility. Since the actions against the spread of COVID-19 has been fully carried out, we have seen the active participation of the Class of 2018 undergraduates from the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering. We would like to congratulate them for their sincere dedication and actions to win this battle without gunpowder, thus depicting a wonderful blueprint of their own!
