In order to further understand the recent study of the students in the Sino-US joint training program, the School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering held a 2019-level vehicle major (China-US Credit Mutual Recognition Program) student symposium on the afternoon of September 30 in the 310 conference room of our school. Prof. Yang Jian, deputy secretary of Party committee and vice president, Geng Guoqing, deputy dean, Xue Hongtao, foreign affairs secretary, Zhang Du, 2019-level counselor, and four students from the 2018-level China-US class attended this symposium.

At present, the fall semester of 2020 has been in for 7 weeks, and students have gradually adapted to the online teaching environment of Northern Arizona University. At the symposium, students spoke enthusiastically and raised general problems in course learning, such as how to learn some courses with a certain degree of difficulty, and how to assess at the end of the course. In response to the questions raised by the students, the four seniors of the 2018-level China-US class shared their learning experience in North Asia on how to maintain communication with professors, how to actively participate in discussions in class, and how to complete each assignment well.

The college also invited these four seniors to the classroom and dormitory to provide Academic counseling and monitor the learning dynamics for students of the 2019-level China-US class regularly every week to help them successfully complete the learning of each course. Finally, Dean Geng hoped that everyone would maintain communication with teachers and professors of North Asia, adapted to the online courses teaching of North Asia as soon as possible, continued to maintain a spirit of hard work and enterprising, and ensured that they can complete the courses of this semester with excellent results.
