Short Biography

Xiaodong Sun received the B.Sc. degree in   electrical engineering, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in control   engineering from Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China, in 2004, 2008, and   2011, respectively.

Since 2004, he has been with Jiangsu University, where he is   currently a Professor with the Automotive Engineering Research Institute.   From 2014 to 2015, he was a Visiting Professor with the School of Electrical,   Mechanical, and Mechatronic Systems, University of Technology Sydney, Sydney,   Australia. His current teaching and research interests include electrical   machines and drives, drives and control for electric vehicles, and   intelligent control. He is the author or coauthor of more than 80 refereed   technical papers and one book, and he is the holder of 36 patents in his   areas of interest.

1.    He was awarded Outstanding Youth Fund of Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu   “Six Personnel Peak” Talent-Funded Project, First Batch “Jiangsu Youth   Science and Technology Talent Select Project”, and "Youth Backbone   Teacher Training Project" of Jiangsu University.

2.   His achievements won 2 Second Class Prizes for Technological   Invention Award of The Ministry of Education (Rank 1 and Rank 6), 1 Third   Class Prize for Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province (Rank 1), 1 Second   Class Prize for Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province (Rank 4), and 1   First Class Prize for Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province (Rank 7).
