On November 3, 2024, in Conference Room 310, our college invited Professor Wang Tiantian from Hunan University to deliver an academic lecture titled "Aerodynamic Operational Safety in Rail Transit". The lecture was hosted by Professor Jing Peng, the deputy director of the Automobile College. The director of the college, Wang Ruochen, along with other young teachers, attended the lecture.

Professor Wang Tiantian's research has proposed transient pressure regulation technology for trains passing through tunnels, established aerodynamic drag reduction methods for trains considering impact loads and marshalling forms, and ensured operational safety in complex track and operational environments. His research has been successfully applied to high-speed trains such as the "Harmony" and "Fuxing" series, contributing to China's high-speed rail as a "national calling card."

The lecture received unanimous praise from teachers, and the attendees were fully focused and satisfied. After the lecture, everyone engaged in a lively discussion about the development trends of future rail transportation.
