From May 27 to May 28 , Dr. Chen Yubao, Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Department of Industry and Manufacturing Systems, University of Michigan, Dilburne, visited our university. Vice President Chen Long; Dean of the Automotive Institute, Jiang Haobin; Li Zhongxing, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, met with the guests and held talks on joint postgraduate training and multi-level cooperation between the two schools.
During the meeting, Vice President Chen Long welcomed Professor Chen Yubao's visit on behalf of the school, and introduced the basic situation and characteristics of the school. Director Li Zhongxing briefed the guests on the international work of the school. President Jiang Haobin introduced the basic situation and scientific research characteristics of the school's automobile, transportation and other disciplines. Professor Chen Yubao introduced the history, scale, discipline and characteristics of the University of Michigan, Dilburne, and the Institute of Technology. Especially on the ways of joint cultivation of graduate students between Dilburne University of Michigan and domestic universities and the project of "3 plus 2 Joint cultivation of Graduate students", which is being carried out in several intercollegiate colleges and universities. International Department Jiang Yonghua, Li Shuyan, Automotive Academy Yuan Chaochun, Geng Guoqing participated in the conversation.
Prof . Chen Yubao then gave a lecture entitled " Intelligent Manufacturing and Intelligent Automotive " for the automotive faculty and introduced a large number of research work done in this area by the American Industrial and Academic Board , including major research areas and directions , as well as systems and technical means to support its industrial applications. At the same time, the artificial intelligence technology itself may encounter problems and challenges from different perspectives in the most direct and most extensive industrial applications: intelligent manufacturing and unmanned driving.
