The final of the 6th China Postgraduate Innovative Design on Energy Equipment Competition was held in China University of Petroleum (East China).

Under the guidance of Prof. Jiang Haobin, the work " high precision SOC estimation module and equipment design of lithium battery energy storage system ", completed by Chen Biao and other 4 graduate students, came to the fore in the online evaluation competition and goes through to the final. During the process of preparing for the final, the instructor gave advice on many aspects including the design and modification of the scheme, the development and verification of the prototype, etc. Withthe joint efforts of teachers and students, the work is transformed from a design scheme to a physical prototype. The basic principle of this work is to use the gas-liquid system to estimate remaining battery power (SOC), which offers the judges and teachers a very refreshing perspective and gained wide recognition. The core technology in the work has won three open PCT invention patents. Finally, the team is awarded the national second prize.
